2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Arctic Limited Edition

High performance in all fields and its iconic design has established the existence of the Jeep in the world automotive market. Now, Chrysler Indonesia announced a limited edition version of the Jeep Wrangler Sahara Arctic.

As the name implies, the Jeep Wrangler Sahara Arctic carries designs inspired by the extreme conditions in the Arctic. This limited edition uses Jeep Wrangler Sahara platform with addition of the emblem of the Yeti and various special design accent in some parts of the car, both exterior and interior.

Wrangler Sahara Arctic is equipped with a 3600 cc Pentastar V6 engine with an increased power from 205 hp (predecessor models) to 285 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. With great power and torque, Sahara Arctic has capability to accelarate from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.4 seconds. Four wheels drive and 5-speed automatic transmission with Command Trac NV421 provide low gear transfer case ratio of 2.72:1.

Chrysler equips the Arctic with 17-inch alloy wheels with an application of staining techniques of powder coating to produce a scratch resistant texture. To increase on-road and off-road performance, Jeep Wrangler Sahara Arctic relies on silent armor technology from Goodyear Wrangler.

Rieva Muchsin, Chief Marketing Officer Chrysler Indonesia, explained that the Jeep is launched in a limited edition. For international market (right hand steering), Chrysler provides only 600 units of Jeep Wrangler Sahara Arctic, and 69 units of them for Indonesian market, with 19 units 2-door and 50 units 4-door models.

In Indonesia, Jeep Wrangler Sahara Arctic is sold at a price of Rp790 million (US$87,000; two doors) and Rp850 million (US$94,000; four doors) off the road, and comes in three colors: Bright Silver, Bright White, and Winter Chill, which they are the special colors of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler limited edition.
