Car Auto Online - 2012 Mini Convertible Highgate SE, New Mini Convertible Special Edition - After two weeks Mini introduced the new hatchback variants, MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater, now the automaker launches special edition variants with a much different body appearance, the Mini Convertible.

The new variants of the MINI Convertible Special Edition will be called the 'Highgate'. The Mini Convertible Highgate SE will be available in four variant of engines. The MINI Cooper that produces 122 hp, Cooper S 184 hp, Cooper D with diesel engine generating power 112 hp and the Cooper SD 143 hp.

All variants of the New Convertible Highgate SE will be front-wheel drive and also be combined with six-speed manual and automatic transmission.

For the exterior, the Highgate Convertible coupe comes with Iced Chocolate Metallic color which is combined with the blue striping on the top of brown/black 'bonnet'. The MINI also provides other exterior color options, the Midnight Black Metallic and White Silver Metallic.

Another feature of new Mini Convertible Highgate is the soft top roof which has the same color tone with the body. The Highgate SE comes with double cross aluminum alloy 17 inches wheels, that makes its appearance more fascinating.

For the interior, Mini Highgate SE is decorated with Dark Truffle leather-covered seat with white stitching and blue seat frame. And pedals are made of stainless steel, while Sun-touched Brushed Alloy detailing on the interior trim, such as dashboard, and also a touch of chrome line as standard materials.

The MINI Convertible Highgate Special Edition is planned to be marketed worldwide on April 2012. For those who interested in buying a Mini car, especially the Convertible Highgate SE, it would not hurt you a little patience to wait for MINI variants of this Special Edition.
